Side Effects of Steroids78

When I hear the word steroids, what immediately comes to mind are big burly weight lifters with massive muscles and veins ready to pop out unaware of the serious side effects of steroids. Steroids are often times associated with this picture because some find it incredulous that a normal human being can grow to this size just by eating a balanced diet or daily exercise. There is definitely some sort of intervention for this to happen. I would like to believe that steroids are wonder drugs that could turn an individual into a superhuman – faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than Mr. Incredible, and throw pitches better than any Major League player. But before you start injecting or taking the pill arm yourself with the information about the side effects of steroids so you blame no one but yourself when the superhuman goal is not achieved.

Many have claimed to have benefited from taking steroids. If you are a person who exercise restraint and don’t have the tendency to be abusive there is no danger of experiencing the side effects of steroids. Expect the following to take place: muscle mass will increase, if you are worried that you are almost always mistaken to be female taking steroids would give you more masculine features, increase your virility and will have you reeking with testosterone. Not to mention getting an edge in competitions that require physical strength.

On the other hand if you have the tendency to be addictive be aware of the side effects of steroids. Since the most abused are anabolic-androgenic steroids or AAS can reverse the effects of the masculine steroid or the androgenic steroid. There will be an acceleration of baldness among men, instead of improving your virility sex drive will be diminished, increase chance of becoming sterile, enlargement of breasts, and shrinking of the testicles. The side effects of steroids mentioned above are not even half of what can happen if the intake goes out of hand. There are more risks that can become life threatening such as liver malfunction, heart attack, stroke and kidney failure.

To minimize the side-effects of steroids it should be injected into the muscle rather than directly into the vein. This way absorption into the bloodstream is slower. Skin patches also introduce the steroids gradually through the skin and into the bloodstream. The most convenient way to administer them is by taking oral pills. How the steroid is administered does not have any effect on the potency of the drug. The side-effects of steroids depend on the amount or dosage being administered everytime.

The side-effects of steroids become more severe when taken by teens. It can stunt their growth since the drug stops the lengthening of the bones. This is why those who began taking steroids at a very young age fail are shorter than their normal height. If you are not ready to deal with the potential side effects of steroids proceed with caution.
